Since the previous update, I've managed to finish off the bottom of the cockpit. Which from what I've gathered may work as a bit of a maintenance hatch of sorts. As a result, the model has been constructed in that if I needed to open and flesh out that area- I could in the future. For now, this will be a strictly exterior shot vehicle. Which brings me to the question of if I construct the interior as well. I'm heavily considering it. But for now, I need to concentrate on the exterior, which I'm happy to say is nearly finished.

In addition to the bottom, the front of the craft (minus the micro level details) are finished and the back side now has the main elements of the engine. Though the detail work still remains. I would argue another day or two and the whole exterior of the craft will be finished. Which is pretty exciting in itself.

If I did work on the interior, I have a number of reference shots to work from- though it'll still be a challenge. The interior is made up of a number of complex shapes, which will mean a lot of work will go into just getting the basic shape worked out, before I can even worry about detailing the cockpit.

Last thing I did, was check out if the central cockpit and 'arms' are the same as the cockpit as the TIE Interceptor, and what do you know- it is. Which means building an Interceptor wouldn't be much work, aside for the wing structures. Which perhaps I'll be able to reuse some assets for. Or maybe not. Either way, not building the central cockpit would be a lot of work off my shoulders from that perspective. Outside of building another TIE variant, who knows what I'll build in the future. Maybe something canon- maybe something Old Republic. Who knows!
